Karen, I’d love to do a list of resources for helping businesses outside the US. Do you have some ideas of what to include?

One thing I’d include for sure would be “Universities, Colleges, Technical Centers,” just as you did in your original article. I believe that this tip does apply to an international audience, because in most–if not all–countries these institutions usually have programs that support small businesses in some way. But perhaps I’d try to be a bit more specific and research names/URLs of colleges and technical centres.
Interviewing international business owners might be a good idea, because they could name local organisations. Here in Brazil, for instance, we have an organisation called SEBRAE that is said to be the place to go if you want to start your own small business. Though I’ve never used their services, I admit they have an excellent reputation. This is the kind of info that you might not obtain if you didn’t talk to a Brazilian. Just replace “Brazilian” by any other nationality and there you go.
