Yes, you are.
No, you don’t need to tell me your company’s story. You don’t need to specify what you were talking about. It doesn’t matter. I’m sure you make business mistakes all the time.
How can I be so sure? Let’s see:
- Businesses are run by human beings
- Human beings are imperfect, no matter how hard some try to deny this reality
- As a result, businesses run by human beings—i. e., ALL businesses—can only be imperfect as well
The lesson to be taken here is: since you can’t be perfect nor can your business, stop being paranoid about business mistakes.
Keep on doing your best and encouraging others to do the same. But don’t despair, thinking that all is lost just because some things went wrong. And above all, do NOT mistreat your employees and/or partners just because they can’t be perfect. Remember you can’t either.
